My first blog… is anyone out there?

I can’t help but think of the TV shows and movies where you hear the voice of someone who’s life you are watching – the voice gives you a personal connection with the character so you can follow their thoughts, relationships and life’s journeys.   Thank you for deciding to come along with me on my journey.  My detailed bio is on my website, but here is the “cliff note” version:

I have been dancing since I was four years old- all types of dance: ballet, jazz, modern, tap, Broadway, pointe and even hip-hop… But I am a “bunhead” at heart!  I traveled throughout the United States and Europe as a result of my love of dance even dancing in the Boston Ballet’s Nutcracker!  Eventually I went to college and law school, but always continued to dance and perform.  I practiced corporate law for several years, but when I took on the greatest job (motherhood) I realized I needed a job that was more conducive to raising my children, Isabella (9), Leonardo (6), Lilliana (5) and Giovanni (2).  Fleur de Lis Academy allowed me to combine all of my passions: sharing my love of performing, teaching the importance of self-confidence and leadership, and hosting really chic children’s parties!

And so… Fleur de Lis Academy was created: a Dance Academy, Manners & Etiquette School, & Children’s Parties.  Oh- and since you are just getting to know me – I LOVE BLING.   So I squeezed in a store too!  We have a traditional dance apparel and shoe store that is filled with shiny bling, eye candy and accessories.

As you read my blog (if anyone is out there?) I hope you will hear my voice – it is honest, silly, inquisitive, and at times, confused by life.
